Meet Mycole
Hi, I’m Mycole Phu-Muns
(pronounced like Nicole, with an M)
If you're reading this, chances are life has felt heavier than you'd like it to. Maybe you've spent years carrying the effects of childhood experiences, struggling in relationships, questioning your worth, or wondering why healing seems so much harder than it should be. I want you to know that you don't have to navigate that alone.
My passion is helping adults and couples heal from trauma, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with themselves. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe enough to be fully yourself, explore your story without judgment, and discover that lasting healing is possible.
I work with adults and couples who are navigating the lasting effects of childhood trauma, attachment wounds, relational trauma, sexual trauma, anxiety, shame, low self-esteem, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients have spent years putting everyone else's needs before their own, feeling disconnected from themselves, or repeating relationship patterns they desperately want to change.
Together, we'll work to better understand how your past continues to shape your present while building new ways of relating to yourself and others that feel more secure, authentic, and peaceful.
Outside of the therapy room, you'll usually find me spending time with my wife and our pug, Freud, practicing yoga, meditating, exploring everything Las Vegas has to offer, attending concerts, or enjoying the outdoors whenever I can. I'm a naturally curious person who genuinely loves learning through books, professional trainings, and new experiences, and I'm always looking for ways to grow so I can better support the people who trust me with their stories.
If we work together, you'll quickly learn that I believe healing doesn't happen because someone tells you what to do. It happens when you feel truly seen, understood, and supported as you discover your own capacity for change.
My Approach
Healing at the Root. Lasting Change.
I believe lasting healing happens when we move beyond simply managing symptoms and begin addressing the experiences that shaped them. Every person and relationship is unique, so I tailor therapy to your individual needs while creating a safe, supportive space where you can better understand yourself, process difficult experiences, and build healthier patterns. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices that help foster meaningful, lasting change.
-
Attachment-Focused EMDR helps you heal from the root of painful experiences rather than simply coping with their effects. By processing distressing memories in a safe and structured way, EMDR can reduce emotional distress, strengthen your sense of self, and help you experience greater peace, confidence, and healthier relationships.
-
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is an evidence-based approach that helps couples better understand the emotions and patterns driving conflict. Rather than focusing on blame, EFT helps partners strengthen emotional connection, improve communication, rebuild trust, and create a more secure, supportive relationship.
-
Every person brings a unique story, which is why I believe therapy should be just as individualized. I thoughtfully integrate attachment theory, psychodynamic principles, person centered care, mindfulness, somatic approaches, and other evidence based therapies to help you better understand yourself, heal the experiences at the root of your struggles, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My Credentials
I believe you deserve a therapist who is committed to lifelong learning. I continue to pursue advanced training in trauma and relationship therapy so I can provide care that is both compassionate and grounded in the latest evidence-based practices.
