You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek therapy because they're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or impacted by the lasting effects of trauma. If you're looking for a safe, supportive space to better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and create lasting change, therapy may be the next step.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process distressing or traumatic experiences so they no longer carry the same emotional intensity. When overwhelming experiences aren't fully processed, they can become "stuck," continuing to influence the way you think, feel, relate to others, and respond to the world around you. Traditional EMDR follows an evidence-based, eight-phase approach that helps ensure therapy is safe, personalized, and effective. Each phase builds upon the last, allowing healing to unfold at a pace that feels supportive and appropriate for your unique needs.
Rather than simply teaching you to cope with symptoms, EMDR helps address the underlying experiences that continue to impact your emotions, beliefs, relationships, and nervous system. As these memories are reprocessed, many people experience reduced emotional distress, healthier perspectives about themselves, and an increased sense of peace, confidence, and connection.
The goal of EMDR isn't to erase your memories. It's to help your brain process them in a way that allows you to remember what happened without feeling as though you're reliving it. My approach is rooted in the belief that healing starts with understanding the root cause, not just managing symptoms.

Attachment-Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (AF EMDR) is an integrative approach to EMDR that combines the power of traditional EMDR with attachment theory and a deeper understanding of how early relationships shape emotional well-being. While standard EMDR is organized into eight phases, Attachment Focused EMDR simplifies treatment into three overarching phases that emphasize building safety and stability, processing traumatic experiences, and integrating healing into daily life. Rather than focusing solely on traumatic memories, Attachment Focused EMDR recognizes that trauma often affects the way we view ourselves, connect with others, and experience the world around us. My approach is rooted in the belief that healing starts with understanding the root cause, not just managing symptoms. Together, we'll work to strengthen internal resources, repair negative beliefs about yourself, and create healthier patterns that support lasting healing.
